ESS Wheat Fertiliser Advisor

Punjab Wheat Production Plan 2026–27 · ESS Agronomist Approved · Earth Scan Systems

1 · Your wheat field

Region provides geographic context; it does not independently change the NPK target. Fertility and soil texture are different characteristics. PDF p.12: low fertility has organic matter up to 0.86%, P up to 7 ppm, K up to 80 ppm; medium 0.86–1.29%, 7–14 ppm, 80–180 ppm; high above these limits. Mixed test classes and overlapping boundary cases need expert interpretation.

2 · Choose fertiliser products

The 20 combinations are nutrient-equivalent calculations using nominal product grades, not necessarily verbatim government packages. Product availability and label grades must be confirmed.

3 · Your fertiliser quantities Live

4 · Application calendar

PDF p.14: equal total nitrogen in 2 or 3 instalments; 4 or more in sandy areas. First instalment at sowing. Later nitrogen dates need local confirmation and are not automatically mapped to irrigation dates.

5 · Placement and seed safety

Production Plan: Drill application is preferred for basal fertiliser. The plan does not state a numerical seed–fertiliser separation distance.

NEXT — practical guidance: A commonly used separate band is approximately 5 cm to the side and 5 cm below the seed. It is not a universal safe-distance rule. Verify product, rate, moisture and actual drill placement.

6 · Additional options (optional)

Official bag packages · source reference pp.12–13

50-kg bags per acre; OR separates packages, slash separates alternatives. K reproduces the source SOP/MOP alternative. One SOP bag supplies 25 kg K₂O; one MOP bag supplies 30 kg. Source package rounding and nutrient differences remain subject to review. Mixed SSP + NP + CAN packages are not supported by the calculator above.

Irrigated low: DAP 2 + Urea 2 + K 1; OR SSP18 5 / SSP14 6.5 + Urea 2.75 + K 1; OR SSP18 3 / SSP14 4 + NP 2 + CAN 2.25 + K 1; OR TSP 2 + Urea 2.75 + K 1.

Irrigated medium: DAP 1.5 + Urea 1.75 + K 1; OR SSP18 3.75 / SSP14 5 + Urea 2.25 + K 1; OR SSP18 2 / SSP14 2.5 + NP 1.5 + CAN 2 + K 1; OR TSP 1.5 + Urea 2.25 + K 1.

Irrigated high: DAP 1.25 + Urea 1.5 + K 1; OR SSP18 3.25 / SSP14 4.25 + Urea 2 + K 1; OR SSP18 2 / SSP14 2.5 + NP 1.25 + CAN 2.5 + K 1.

Rainfed low rainfall: DAP 1 + Urea 1 + K 0.5; OR TSP 1 + Urea 1.5 + K 0.5.

Rainfed medium rainfall: DAP 1.25 + Urea 1.25 + K 0.5.

Rainfed high rainfall: DAP 1.5 + Urea 1.5 + K 1.

Attention before field use

ESS Agronomist Approved Targets and grades match the supplied PDF. Calculated equivalents differ from official rounded bag packages. Equal total-N scheduling must account for basal DAP/NP nitrogen; infeasible combinations require review. Irrigation windows depend on previous crop and sowing context. The approximately 5×5 cm placement is supplementary guidance, not a numeric prescription in this PDF. Avoid direct seed contact.
